What is the Widget Check?
You have a concrete idea: a lunch menu per location, a mood barometer for shift workers, a shift schedule display, a restructuring FAQ widget. But you don’t know whether Staffbase covers it natively, what custom development would cost, or which data source is realistic.
The Widget Check answers exactly those questions. Sascha and Jens look at your idea personally. No bot reply, no generic marketing email. You get an honest assessment that you can use to decide internally or to justify a budget.
What you get
- Feasibility. Can it be done with Widget Builder, with native Staffbase tools, or does it need custom development? Straight answer, no sales filter.
- Effort and time. Realistic range in days, not in “phases”. Including who on your side needs to be involved (IT, HR, data owner).
- Best option. We name the option that delivers value fastest, even if it’s not the most expensive one. For simple use cases, we tell you that you don’t need to buy anything.
- Risks and blind spots. Data sources, permissions, update cycles, mobile behaviour. The typical pitfalls that only surface after the contract is signed in a standard sales process.
How does it work?
- Submit your idea. You fill out the form. Three minutes is enough if you know your use case. Sketches, screenshots, or links are welcome.
- We review within 3 business days. Sascha and Jens take a look. We ask follow-up questions by email if needed. No canned response, a real assessment.
- Personal call invitation. If the idea has substance, we propose a 30-minute call. If not, you still get the written assessment with reasoning.

What does the Widget Check cost?
Nothing. The assessment is free, with no obligation and no mandatory follow-up call. We invest the time because every idea teaches us something about what comms teams actually need.
If you do want a widget built afterwards, our normal pricing applies: Starter is and stays free, Pro is 149 EUR per month, Enterprise is custom. The Widget Check is not a bait offer with a hidden follow-up contract.
